Have you ever looked at a title of a piece of classical music and though, ‘Why is it so long?’
I know I did when I was younger, and so, I decided to write this article explaining why classical pieces of music are titled in this way and what each part of the title signifies, in the hope that it might help anyone who perhaps may have found themselves to be a little bit bemused by it all.
